Community Venues' Directory

Search for a Community Venue

This listing is to encourage training providers to use venues in the Community for learning and training activities. A hardcopy Directory is also available for use by training providers. Shropshire has a rich resource of community buildings that offer extremely cost-effective facilities. As well as town centres there are numerous interesting, and even historic buildings, throughout the Shropshire countryside. Using such venues can also help you make that vital link with communities you may be seeking to work with.

This Directory is not intended to comprehensively cover all community centres and village halls (this information is on CCS's website www.shropshire-rcc.org.uk). Two criteria have been applied, and both must be met:

  1. Venues must be owned and/or run by their community. This will usually mean that they are a voluntary organisation, and a registered charity, with a volunteer management committee (charity trustees).
  2. Venues that can meet basic access requirements, such as accessible toilets, wheelchair accessible.

If you would like your venue to be included on the website please contact us.

All the information provided has been on a self-assessment basis by the community venue. The Community Council of Shropshire has not checked the information provided. We would strongly recommend that potential hirers make their own enquiries and check that facilities meet their requirements prior to booking. If you have any issues or concerns about the descriptions presented by any of the community venues please report these to the Community Council of Shropshire.
